We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer / Purchasing Assistant for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a growing manufacturing company in Fountain Valley, CA. This is a great opportunity for someone with purchasing or procurement experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with suppliers, production, and warehouse teams.
Position: Buyer / Purchasing Assistant (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Fountain Valley, CA
Pay: $25–31/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
Communicate with manufacturing partners and suppliers in both English and Mandarin
Process purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records within the ERP system
Coordinate with domestic and international vendors regarding pricing, order confirmations, and delivery schedules
Monitor open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and prevent material shortages
Review inventory levels and assist with forecasting material requirements
Request vendor quotes and assist with pricing comparisons
Work closely with planning, warehouse, and production teams to resolve order discrepancies
Maintain vendor files and assist with supplier performance tracking
Support the purchasing department with data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks
Qualifications:
1–5 years of purchasing, procurement, or administrative experience; manufacturing industry experience preferred
Bilingual in Mandarin and English required
Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle, JobBoss, or similar is a plus
Strong Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word skills
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
