We are seeking an experienced Property Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of a real estate portfolio. This role is responsible for accounts payable and receivable, tenant billing, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate lease records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and experienced with Yardi.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices
• Prepare, print, and mail payments
• Track and maintain current vendor insurance
• Prepare and submit annual 1099 filings
Accounts Receivable
• Enter tenant payments and record online transactions
• Prepare and send tenant statements and invoices
• Respond to tenant billing and account inquiries
• Reconcile and prepare real estate tax and CAM billings
• Follow up on and collect delinquencies
Financial Reporting
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Assist with budget preparation
• Complete month-end close activities
Tenant Records
• Enter and maintain lease and tenant records in Yardi
• Process tenant move-ins and move-outs
Qualifications
• Prior experience as a Property Accountant required
• Yardi experience required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
