We are looking for a meticulous and knowledgeable Property Accountant to become part of our expanding team. The ideal candidate will bring solid expertise in Accounts Payable, thorough experience with Yardi Voyager, and a firm grasp of property management accounting principles. This position will support a portfolio of commercial real estate assets and play a vital role in delivering accurate and timely financial information.

Responsibilities:

Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions for commercial property operations.

Handle large volumes of vendor invoices, ensuring they meet accuracy and company standards.

Collaborate with property managers to assist in budget development and CAM reconciliation.

Support year-end audit preparations and tax-related filings.

Prepare year-end tax packages and coordinate filing of 1099s for vendors, owners, and accounting teams.

Maintain precise and current financial records within Yardi Voyager.

Provide financial insights and support to property management staff and clients when requested.

Respond to tenant inquiries related to billing issues.

Generate and review month-end reports for property managers.

Create and post journal entries, including adjustments recommended by CPAs during tax filing.

Conduct regular reviews of General Ledgers on a quarterly and annual basis.

Manage loan details for properties, including amortization tracking.

Facilitate funding for escrow accounts and reserves from lending institutions.

Reconcile bank statements within Yardi or delegate with final review responsibility.

Oversee timely payment and tracking of property and franchise taxes.

Maintain accounting reference materials, spreadsheets, and tracking tools.

Contribute to special projects and other initiatives as required.

Work directly with senior executives to support financial operations.

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in accounting and general ledger management; commercial real estate experience is a strong plus.

Preferably 3-4 years of experience within property management accounting.

Proficient with Excel, Word, and Yardi Voyager software.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
