Project Manager Construction
Location: Cary, NC 27518
Compensation: $75,000-$85,000/yr.
A Cary-based industrial construction company is seeking a highly motivated and successful Project Manager to join their growing team. The Project Manager will oversee the entire construction process from planning to completion. This PM is a key contributor within the team, collaborating closely with consultants, engineers, contractors, accountants, and operations personnel, fostering teamwork to deliver dynamic projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the entire construction process from planning to completion, including:
Budget & Schedule Management:
•Developing, managing, and tracking project budgets and work schedules.
•Manage project P&L for optimal results and benefits.
•Compile and record weekly actual costs and provide monthly billing to clients.
•Ensure timely completion of tasks according to weekly schedules.
Reporting & Technology:
•Manage daily reporting and system filing, manage project files in Procore and updating RFI, Submittals, and Change Orders.
•Generate weekly reports on Davis/Bacon Wages and fulfill LEED requirement reporting.
•Prepare comprehensive project closeout documentation.
•Conduct and present post-results analysis during project closeout to the project team.
Contract Administration:
•Reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts with owners, subcontractors, and trade partners.
Field Coordination:
•Coordinating with superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors to manage labor, materials, and equipment on-site.
•Conduct projects buy-out and assign suitable subcontractors to the projects.
Safety & Compliance:
•Provide Quality Assurance and Controls oversight and supervision, ensuring all work adheres to safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
•Participate in weekly and monthly job site safety walks.
Client Communication:
•Acting as the primary liaison with clients regarding project progress and changes.
•Collaborating with Clients, Engineers, and Supervisors in effective project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
•Actively participating in regional expos to connect with clients and professional associations.
QUALIFICATIONS
•5+ years of PM experience within Industrial Construction required.
•Prior Life Sciences industry experience preferred.
•Proficiency with Procore, Primavera, Touch Plan or similar tasking software.
•Possesses excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
•Proven ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with project teams.
•Ability to travel to job sites and client locations on a regular, ongoing basis as needed.
