A growing organization is looking to hire a Project Manager to join their Fremont team. They are seeking an experienced Bilingual Project Manager (Mandarin-English) to lead cross-functional projects and drive product development initiatives from concept through completion. The ideal candidate is a former practicing engineer who has successfully transitioned into project management and possesses a strong understanding of product development, manufacturing processes, and systems integration.
This role will be responsible for coordinating internal teams, managing client and vendor relationships, optimizing processes, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while maintaining a focus on quality, efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Lead project planning activities and establish project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Analyze, develop, and optimize processes to ensure quality products are delivered on schedule and at the lowest practical cost.
• Provide project leadership with a systems integration perspective to create efficient, scalable, and sustainable infrastructure.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans to monitor progress and performance.
• Allocate and manage project resources effectively.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, and key performance indicators.
• Utilize appropriate tools, systems, and methodologies to measure project performance and manage project changes.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and third-party vendors.
• Facilitate communication among engineering, operations, manufacturing, and leadership teams.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Communicate project updates and critical information effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field required.
Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience.
• Previous experience as a practicing engineer prior to moving into project management strongly preferred.
• Experience working within product development and manufacturing environments.
Required Skills
• Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English (verbal and written) required.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong ability to analyze complex information and present key insights to various audiences.
• Demonstrated project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution experience.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong creative thinking, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and rapid development cycles while maintaining focus and flexibility.
• In-depth knowledge of product development processes and manufacturing operations.
• Experience collaborating with operations, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and production teams.
• Strong proficiency with project management tools, systems, and reporting methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
• Experience managing international projects and cross-cultural teams.
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, automation, or product development environments. 



Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience.
• Previous experience as a practicing engineer prior to moving into project management strongly preferred.
• Experience working within product development and manufacturing environments.
