Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Project Manager for a contract/temporary opportunity supporting property rehabilitation projects in Virginia Beach, VA. This role is ideal for a project management professional with experience coordinating construction, real estate, affordable housing, or public sector-related projects.

The Project Manager will help keep multiple rehab projects organized, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality expectations. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful property improvement initiatives in a structured, team-oriented environment with regular weekday hours, collaborative support, and exposure to procurement, budgeting, vendor coordination, and project closeout processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain project trackers to monitor schedules, budgets, orders, approvals, and project milestones.
- Manage project documentation, prepare reports, and provide updates on progress, risks, and outstanding items.
- Monitor budgets, review invoices, support purchasing activity, and assist with procurement and bidding processes.
- Track project progress, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and help ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Support quality control activities by reviewing project details, identifying issues, and assisting with resolution.
- Assist with project closeouts, including documentation, final approvals, and completion tracking.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay Rate: $30 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Location: Virginia Beach, VA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage property rehabilitation project tracking, timelines, budgets, and documentation.
- Coordinate project orders, invoices, reporting, and progress updates.
- Support procurement, bidding, vendor coordination, and project closeout activities.
- Monitor project quality, completion status, and compliance-related requirements.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant project management, construction management, real estate development, affordable housing, or related experience preferred.
- Strong ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including tools used for tracking, reporting, documentation, and communication.
- Strong general business systems knowledge and comfort working with project data, invoices, orders, and reports.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and project stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate Development, Affordable Housing, or a related field.
- Experience with procurement and bidding processes.
- Knowledge of affordable housing programs and related regulatory requirements.
- Several years of experience supporting construction management, real estate development, property rehabilitation, affordable housing, or similar project environments.
