A local client has an immediate need to hire Project Manager to join their Fremont Team. Client is looking for someone who comes with a strong mechanical engineering background to lead complex product development and manufacturing-focused projects. The ideal candidate is a former practicing engineer who has transitioned into project management and brings a systems-level mindset to optimize processes, ensure on-time delivery, and deliver high-quality products at minimum cost.
This role plays a critical part in aligning cross-functional teams, managing vendors, and building an efficient, scalable project infrastructure that supports rapid development cycles. Bilingual in Mandarin will be key in the success of this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
-Analyze and optimize project and development processes to ensure quality products are delivered on schedule and within budget
-Provide project and team leadership with a systems integration view and long-term infrastructure vision
-Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless project execution
-Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
-Develop clear project scopes, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
-Ensure technical feasibility throughout the project lifecycle
Plan and manage resource availability and allocation
-Develop and maintain detailed project plans to track milestones and progress
-Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and cost using appropriate verification techniques
-Measure and report project performance using relevant tools, systems, and metrics
-Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and third-party vendors
-Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize impact
-Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Required Qualifications
Education
-Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
Experience
-3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
-3+ years of experience in project management
-Prior experience as a practicing engineer before transitioning into project management
-Experience working with operations, mechanical, and manufacturing teams
Language
-Bilingual in Mandarin and English (spoken and written)
