Are you ready to kick-start your career in construction management? We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer Intern in Phoenix. This internship opportunity offers hands-on experience supporting large-scale affordable housing projects while building the foundation for a long-term career in construction.
As a Project Engineer Intern, you will shadow and assist the Project Manager and work directly with our VP of Construction, Senior Project Manager, and field teams.
This role is perfect for recent graduates eager to grow their career in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
Assist Project Managers with documentation for OAC meetings
Coordinate with architects, designers, owners, and field personnel
Prepare, review, and track RFIs and Submittals
Support bid packages, procurement, and permit processing
Provide technical information to supervisors to ensure compliance with codes, drawings, and specs
Monitor quality control activities and generate accurate reports
Manage change orders and maintain contract documents Assist in construction scheduling, project closeout, and punch lists
Prepare monthly owner status reports and record meeting minutes
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or Architecture (with business/finance training preferred)
Experience in multi-family construction strongly preferred
At least 1 year of experience supporting construction projects of increasing complexity
Strong problem-solving, reasoning, and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel required); knowledge of Sage Timberline Estimating & Sage Construction 300 a plus
Ability to anticipate and resolve project challenges
Team-oriented, flexible, and client-focused approach
Gain hands-on experience under the mentorship of senior leaders Build lasting client and industry relationships
Work on meaningful projects that impact the community
