Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Project Engineer to support HVAC or Plumbing construction projects in Seattle, WA. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a construction professional who enjoys coordinating project details, supporting field execution, and helping ensure mechanical projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, field teams, vendors, and subcontractors in a fast-paced mechanical contracting environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to residential, commercial, and office construction projects while building a strong career path in project management. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with supportive leadership, hands-on project exposure, and opportunities to grow technical and coordination skills within the HVAC and plumbing construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of HVAC or Plumbing construction projects.
- Prepare, track, and manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting notes, and related project records.
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to help maintain project momentum.
- Track project progress, budgets, materials, schedules, and key deliverables to support successful project completion.
- Review project specifications and assist in ensuring work is completed according to scope, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Identify potential project issues, communicate updates proactively, and help support timely resolution.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $125,000 to $135,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support HVAC or Plumbing project execution from planning through completion.
- Coordinate project documentation, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and material tracking.
- Work closely with Project Managers, field teams, vendors, and subcontractors to keep projects aligned with scope, budget, and schedule.
- Help monitor quality, safety, compliance, and overall project performance.
- 2 to 5+ years of experience in HVAC or Plumbing construction, engineering, or mechanical contracting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, project coordination, and mechanical project workflows.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven construction environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to support budgets, schedules, materials, and project deliverables.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively with office and field teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting residential, commercial, or office construction projects.
- Prior mechanical contracting experience with HVAC systems, plumbing systems, or both.
- Familiarity with submittal processes, RFIs, change orders, project schedules, and construction project management tools.
