We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and field teams on commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys coordinating across architects, owners, subcontractors, and field personnel.
The Project Engineer plays a critical role in document control, RFI and submittal management, quality tracking, scheduling updates, and project closeout support.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with architects, designers, owners, and field teams
Prepare, track, and manage RFIs and submittals
Assist with bid packages, procurement, and buyout support
Support change order management and contract documentation
Monitor project quality control metrics and ensure compliance with plans and specifications
Update construction schedules based on team input and trade progress
Track material deliveries and inspect work for compliance
Assist in preparation of monthly owner reports
Attend project meetings and record minutes
Support punch list and project closeout documentation
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
Experience with tenant improvements, multifamily, mixed-use, corporate, or institutional projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and financial tracking
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
