An HVAC mechanical contractor is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial mechanical projects. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to HVAC systems, project management, and field coordination, with plumbing industry experience considered a major plus.

Key responsibilities
Assist Project Managers in coordinating HVAC projects from pre-construction through closeout.
Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for HVAC and related plumbing systems.
Help prepare RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
Support material takeoffs, procurement tracking, and delivery coordination.
Visit job sites to assist with field measurements, progress tracking, and punch lists.
Update schedules, logs, and reports to keep the project team aligned and on track.

Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience/internships).
Basic understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical concepts from coursework or practical experience.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); exposure to Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or Revit is a plus.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset.

Preferred experience
Any experience in the plumbing industry (design, field, estimating, or project support) is a significant plus.
Internship or co-op experience with an MEP contractor, HVAC firm, or general contractor.
Familiarity with jobsite safety practices and reading construction documents.
