Project Assistant

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, experienced, and results-driven Project Assistant to support and manage all phases of construction projects for our client from planning through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent leadership abilities, and the capacity to coordinate multiple teams and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish
Oversee field operations, subcontractors, and site staff to ensure work progresses according to plans
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to maintain alignment on project goals
Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe job site
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and resolve issues promptly
Review and approve schedules, change orders, submittals, and RFIs
Manage project documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements
Lead construction meetings and maintain effective communication with stakeholders
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices
Solicit and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in construction management or project management within commercial or civil construction
Estimating experience preferred (Sage 100, Bluebeam, or similar)
Proficient in reading blueprints and construction documents
Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, scheduling, and safety regulations
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and team coordination skills
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Self-starter with strong initiative
