Construction Project Accountant (Temp-to-hire)
Pay: $75,000–$77,000 DOE (potential increase upon permanent hire)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Location: San Marcos, CA

Role Overview:
The Construction Project Accountant manages the financial aspects of construction projects, including job costing, budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting. This role partners with Project Managers, Procurement, and Finance to ensure projects stay financially accurate, compliant, and on track.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage job costing, budgeting, and project financial reporting
Review and reconcile invoices, subcontractor payments, and change orders
Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses
Monitor budgets and track project expenses
Support month-end close, audits, and financial reporting
Maintain compliance with construction accounting standards and company policies
Qualifications:
Accounting experience in construction or project-based environments
Proficiency with Sage, LCPTracker, Procore, and Microsoft Excel
Certified payroll, prevailing wage, labor compliance, and lien release experience preferred
Strong analytical and organizational skills
