We are partnering with a well-established commercial construction company in Deerfield Beach that is seeking a Project Accountant to join their accounting team.
This role plays an important part in supporting project teams by managing billing, job cost tracking, and project-related accounts payable while helping ensure the financial health of active construction projects.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with project managers and accounting leadership while supporting multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and generate AIA billings and monthly project invoices
• Track and analyze the financial progress of construction projects
• Process project-related accounts payable and subcontractor invoices
• Enter and maintain contracts, budgets, purchase orders, and change orders
• Maintain organized project documentation and financial records
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Project Executives, and Accounting leadership
• Assist with month-end close activities related to project accounting
• Participate in project review and closeout meetings
Qualifications
• 2+ years of project accounting or construction accounting experience
• Experience with AIA billing or progress billing
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with project teams
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Preferred Experience
• Experience with ComputerEase
• Familiarity with Procore
