Are you a detail-oriented accountant with a knack for numbers and organization? We’re seeking a Project Accountant to support financial operations for active construction projects in Seattle. In this 100% onsite role, you’ll track costs, manage billing, and work closely with project managers, vendors, and internal teams to keep projects financially on track. If you enjoy analyzing numbers, solving discrepancies, and seeing projects through from start to finish, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Do:
Manage all project accounting functions, including contracts, change orders, and cost codes
Prepare monthly billings, progress invoices, and supporting documentation
Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy and compliance
Track project budgets, commitments, expenses, and forecasts
Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and support month-end close
Maintain accurate records and timely filing of project documents
Partner with project managers to provide financial updates and cost analysis
Support audits and internal reporting requirements
What We’re Looking For:
2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based environments
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job cost processes
Proficiency in Excel and accounting or ERP software
High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong follow-through
Clear communication skills and ability to work onsite daily in Seattle
Nice to Have:
Experience with construction accounting software
Familiarity with AIA billing and contractor compliance documents
