We’re seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Project Accountant with a strong background in construction accounting to join our team in Downtown LA. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where adaptability, initiative, and teamwork are key to success.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
Develop and uphold procedural guidelines for accounting operations
Lead training and ensure compliance with company standards
Collaborate with regional accountants to improve efficiency and cost management
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications
Oversee and process invoices, insurance, payroll, and billing
Manage contract setup, cost codes, and job cost transfers in CMiC
Ensure waiver, OCIP, SDI, and surety compliance
Support project closeout and audit processes
Track field expenses, daily reports, and purchase orders
Handle owner invoice creation and Bluebeam RFP process oversight
Maintain accurate data archiving and reporting

Required Skills & Experience

5–7+ years of experience as a Project Accountant, preferably in construction
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
High level of professionalism and discretion
Ability to work independently and establish structure in a dynamic environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Teams, Adobe/Bluebeam, and general office equipment
Experience supporting Sr. Project Managers and managing high-volume data
Skilled in contract tracking, billing, and database management
Comfortable working with diverse personalities and fast-moving projects.
