We're seeking an Advanced Programmer to join a project focused on the State of South Carolina's Medicaid system. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on critical, public-facing systems.
This position is open due to the ongoing need for support and maintenance of our Medicaid IT systems. You will be instrumental in backfilling production systems and supporting various claims and payment processes. You may also get to work on exciting new projects slated for the coming fiscal year.
What You'll Do:
• Develop and Maintain: Work with our Medicaid Services teams to make coding changes to COBOL and ADS programs using IDMS databases.
• Test and Debug: Debug, unit test, and integration test your code changes. You'll also support our QA team through testing phases by making any necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate: Work closely with customers, development, operations, and QA staff. You will communicate effectively in both written and spoken formats.
• On-Call: Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to provide support for production systems.

10+ years' experience in mainframe development (MVS COBOL, JCL, IDMS/NETWORK, CA-ADS). Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential. Preferred: Changeman, SAS, or File-Aid.
