The Program Assistant (PA) will provide oversight of and support to the Action for program for the co-location of staff to the LA County juvenile court in Inglewood, and requires an individual with strong interpersonal skills, a desire to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, and the ability to collaborate with many levels of diverse stakeholders and staff. Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Maintain a consistent, full time presence at Inglewood Juvenile Court (Monday-Friday)
-Represent program in court hearings, providing updates and program representation when needed.
-Serve as a professional point of contact for Judges, attorneys, probation, and other court personal.
-Provide on-site support to youth and their families before, during and after court hearings.
-Link families with community resources if available.
-Receive, track, and process program referrals directly from attorneys and ensure timely referral response from providers.
-Maintain accurate records of referrals and the outcome of enrollments.
-Act as a liaison between the court system, and community based partners.
-Coordinate and assist providers with court scheduling and attendance.
-Coordinate with providers to ensure court reports are complete, and filed on time for youths court dates.
-Ensure the referral tracker is up to date, and provide updates to supervisor on referral trends and enrollments.
-Assist in developing culturally responsive and equity-centered environments and relationships with youth, community
groups, and stakeholders. This involves facilitating the exchange of information; engaging in collaborative research,
planning, and decision-making; and coordinating resources and services.
-Collaborate with community and county partners to ensure youth have access to various reentry or step-down services
to support a safe transition from detainment to reintegration into community.
-Contribute to program improvements by identifying service gaps and barriers to access.
