Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Test Tech 1 for a contract opportunity with a growing manufacturing team in Waltham, MA. Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and measurement assembly operations on components, assemblies, and subassemblies.
- Complete wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable assembly, bonding, fitting, and related production tasks following established procedures.
- Set up and adjust equipment while maintaining blueprint specifications, tolerances, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Operate production equipment, complete work orders, and accurately record labor time and production activity in company systems.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials, production concerns, equipment issues, and safety concerns to management.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 5S efforts by maintaining tools, fixtures, equipment, and work areas.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform hands-on production assembly, wiring, soldering, bonding, potting, fitting, and related manufacturing tasks.
- Operate production equipment and complete work orders accurately and on schedule.
- Follow manufacturing procedures, documentation, blueprints, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement, 5S practices, and accurate labor reporting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of related manufacturing, production, assembly, or technician experience required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce quality work that meets established standards.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive assembly and production tasks.
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse manufacturing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced production setting.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to embrace change and support process improvements.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and commitment to meeting or exceeding standard production times.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills and general computer literacy.
- Proficiency in one or more manufacturing processes such as bonding, wiring, potting, soldering, or assembly.
