Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Production Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Buffalo, NY. This hands-on role supports the production of premium metal prints from start to finish, including printing preparation, fabrication, packaging, crating, and shipping support.

The Production Technician role is ideal for candidates with experience in manufacturing, production, fabrication, woodworking, construction, or similar hands-on work. CNC experience is helpful, but training will be provided for the right candidate with mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare printers for daily production, including cleaning, setup, and operation of scheduled print jobs.
- Assist with CNC equipment operation using existing pre-programmed files.
- Cut and assemble MDF back frames for finished metal prints.
- Build custom crates and protective packaging for oversized artwork using honeycomb cardboard, foam, and related materials.
- Measure materials accurately to support proper fit, spacing, assembly, and packaging requirements.
- Stage, organize, and prepare finished products for freight shipment while maintaining a clean and safe production area.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $20.00 per hour.
- Location: Buffalo, NY 14214.
- Position type: Temporary assignment expected to last approximately 120 to 180 days, with potential for full-time employment.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support daily production of premium metal prints, including printer setup, fabrication, finishing, packaging, and shipping preparation.
- Assist with CNC equipment operation using pre-programmed files.
- Measure, cut, assemble, crate, and package materials accurately to meet quality and delivery standards.
- Maintain organized workflow, communicate production concerns, and support a safe, efficient production environment.

- 1 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, fabrication, woodworking, construction, or a similar hands-on environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and production processes.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic measurements.
- Ability to lift and move aluminum sheets, paper rolls, framing materials, and finished products throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to quality.
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable working in a production environment where tasteful boudoir photography artwork is regularly produced.

Preferred Qualifications

- CNC experience is a plus, but not required.
- Experience building crates, packaging oversized products, or preparing freight shipments.
- Background in print production, custom fabrication, woodworking, or light construction.
