Position Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing activities during the second shift to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment. The supervisor will directly oversee 7 production workers on the shift.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate daily production operations for the 2nd shift.
• Lead and manage a team of 7 production workers, providing guidance and support.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies.
• Monitor workflow and adjust resources to meet production schedules and targets.
• Train, coach, and develop team members to maintain high performance and engagement.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment functionality and proper maintenance.
• Address and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, labor hours, and material usage.
• Collaborate with other departments (Quality, Maintenance, Logistics) to ensure smooth operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of production processes, safety standards, and quality control.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
