We are seeking a Production Planner for a direct hire opportunity in San Fernando, CA. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional with 1 to 2 years of experience who enjoys coordinating production schedules, supporting operations, and helping ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
The Production Planner will play an important role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working closely with Production, Quality Control, Shipping/Receiving, Customer Service, and other internal teams. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, inventory needs, and operational priorities.
- Communicate proactively with internal teams to support schedule adherence, resolve shortages, and address production changes or downtime.
- Provide product availability updates and work order status information to Customer Service and other key stakeholders.
- Research and resolve discrepancies related to inventory, scheduling, production plans, raw materials, and packaging requirements.
- Generate purchase requisitions for raw materials and packaging supplies, maintain packaging inventory accuracy, and support next-day production readiness.
- Prepare detailed production plans and pull sheets for Production, Quality Control, and Shipping/Receiving teams.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $55,000 to $60,000 per year.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.

- Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, Customer Service, Shipping/Receiving, and Operations teams to support efficient workflow.
- Monitor shortages, troubleshoot production issues, and communicate schedule updates clearly and promptly.
- Generate purchase requisitions and maintain accurate raw material and packaging inventory information.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in production planning, order processing, inventory coordination, manufacturing administration, or a related operations support role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing inventory data, work orders, production schedules, and material requirements.
- Ability to identify discrepancies, follow up on issues, and collaborate with team members to support timely resolution.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a professional approach to maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Basic computer skills and comfort working with production, inventory, order processing, or data entry systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using ERP, MRP, inventory management, or production scheduling software.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, packaging, food, consumer goods, or related production environment.
- Familiarity with raw material planning, packaging inventory, work orders, shortage alerts, and production documentation.
- Bilingual communication skills may be helpful in a diverse manufacturing environment.
