AppleOne is seeking an experienced Production Planner for a direct hire opportunity in Fresno, CA within the food and beverage production industry. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented planning professional who enjoys balancing customer demand, production capacity, inventory availability, and supply chain coordination in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Production Planner will support efficient, on-time production by developing schedules, monitoring materials, maintaining planning data, and partnering closely with purchasing, operations, and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an 8+ week production schedule based on customer orders, forecasts, inventory levels, and plant capacity.
- Optimize production plans to reduce changeovers, improve efficiency, and support on-time customer delivery.
- Coordinate with purchasing to ensure ingredients, packaging materials, and production supplies are available when needed.
- Maintain Bills of Materials, planning data, batching documentation, formulas, and production details.
- Use ERP systems to issue materials, track production runs, monitor inventory, and support accurate reporting.
- Prepare and analyze production reports, including yield analysis, cost variances, OTIF metrics, and related KPIs.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $60,000 to $74,000 per year.

- Manage production scheduling, demand planning, and inventory coordination for a manufacturing environment.
- Align customer demand, supply availability, and plant capacity to support efficient production flow.
- Coordinate materials, BOM data, batching documentation, and ERP planning activity.
- Analyze production performance, cost variances, inventory accuracy, and fulfillment metrics.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, manufacturing scheduling, or a closely related role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, forecasting, and production capacity planning.
- Knowledge of batching, filling, packaging, and manufacturing production processes.
- Experience using ERP or MRP systems to support materials planning, scheduling, and production tracking.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify issues, and make sound planning decisions.
- Excellent organization, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
- Food and beverage manufacturing experience.
- BOM management and formula-based production planning experience.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, and production efficiency practices.
- Experience tracking OTIF, yield, inventory accuracy, cost variance, and other production KPIs.
