Job Summary

A growing food and beverage production organization is seeking a Production Planner to support efficient manufacturing operations in Fresno, CA. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a planning professional who enjoys building production schedules, coordinating materials, analyzing inventory, and helping teams deliver consumer goods on time.

The Production Planner will play a key role in aligning customer demand, forecasts, raw material availability, and production capacity. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain rolling production schedules of 8 or more weeks based on customer orders, forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Optimize production plans to reduce changeovers, improve efficiency, and support on-time delivery goals.
- Partner with purchasing, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available for scheduled production runs.
- Maintain Bills of Materials, production planning data, batching documentation, formulas, and related production details.
- Use ERP or MRP systems to issue materials, track production activity, monitor inventory, and support accurate reporting.
- Analyze production performance, cost variances, yield results, OTIF metrics, and scheduling risks to support continuous improvement.

- Pay range: $25 to $30 per hour + benefits.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- 3 to 5 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, supply chain coordination, or a related operations planning role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, forecasting, and production scheduling.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or food and beverage production environment.
- Familiarity with batching, filling, packaging, and production workflow processes.
- ERP or MRP system experience required, with NetSuite experience strongly valued.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with purchasing, production, warehouse, quality, and leadership teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- NetSuite ERP experience.
- Food and beverage production planning experience.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, and efficiency optimization.
- Experience tracking OTIF metrics, KPIs, yield analysis, and production performance reports.
- Experience managing physical inventory counts and resolving inventory discrepancies.
