Confidential Opportunity: Production Planner – Northern Kern County

A well-established and rapidly growing manufacturing organization in Central California is seeking a highly skilled Production Planner to join its dynamic operations team. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about optimizing production and supply chain processes.

Position Overview
The Production Planner will be responsible for coordinating production activities—including fermentation, granulation, and packaging—based on forecast and sales projections. This role plays a critical part in developing and managing the master production schedule (MPS), rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP), and material management using ERP systems. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage a rolling 12+ month master production schedule
• Align production plans with forecasts, backlogs, and capacity constraints
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consensus on production priorities
• Resolve material shortages and scheduling conflicts
• Optimize plant schedules to meet customer demand and maximize efficiency
• Drive continuous improvement in material flow and inventory management
• Maintain and archive SOPs for all supply planning activities (ISO 9001)
• Support S&OP processes and strategic supply chain initiatives
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive production planning experience
• Strong understanding of supply chain and procurement processes
• ERP system experience (NetSuite preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and analytical tools
Preferred:
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• Experience in biotech or global manufacturing environments
