We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in San Jose, CA. This hands-on manufacturing and assembly role is ideal for candidates who enjoy precise, careful work and want to contribute in a structured production environment.
As a Production Operator, you will support battery removal, component scanning, packaging, and quality-focused production tasks involving e-book devices. Key Responsibilities
- Unpack e-book devices and prepare units for the battery removal process.
- Use a specialized tool to safely remove batteries from e-book units.
- Scan batteries and components to support accurate tracking throughout production.
- Package batteries according to established work instructions and handling procedures.
- Follow written and verbal instructions to maintain quality, consistency, and safety.
- Communicate issues, ask for support when needed, and keep the work area clean and organized.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: San Jose, CA.
- Day shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Swing shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
- Perform hands-on production, assembly, battery removal, scanning, and packaging tasks.
- Follow detailed work instructions and maintain accurate process flow.
- Support quality, consistency, safety, and organization within a manufacturing environment.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in production, assembly, manufacturing, mechanical work, or a related hands-on role.
- Ability to use tools safely and accurately for small parts or component handling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work in a structured production setting.
- Clear communication skills and willingness to ask questions when support is needed.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining individual productivity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling batteries, electronic devices, small parts, or delicate components.
- Prior experience using scanners or tracking components in a production process.
- Mechanical aptitude or experience with disassembly, repair, or assembly tasks.
- Previous experience in a quality-focused manufacturing or operations environment.
