We are seeking an experienced Production Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Taunton, MA. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing professional with experience operating production equipment, following detailed work orders, and maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and consistency.
The Production Operator will support key production areas including mixing, compound blending, screening, milling, material handling, equipment monitoring, and product inspection. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production equipment, gauges, dials, and process indicators to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operation.
- Measure, mix, blend, screen, mill, cut, wrap, label, and transfer materials according to work orders, formulas, and customer specifications.
- Inspect raw materials, ingredients, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Record production data accurately and prepare properly labeled samples for QA/QC testing.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, complete cleanouts between jobs, and identify when additional service is needed.
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines, company policies, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $24 per hour.
- Job Type: 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
- Location: Taunton, MA 02780.
- Operate production equipment for mixing, blending, screening, milling, and material processing.
- Follow work orders, formulas, batch instructions, and customer specifications with accuracy.
- Inspect, weigh, label, document, and prepare materials for QA/QC review.
- Maintain safe, clean, and compliant production areas while troubleshooting operating issues.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant production, manufacturing, machine operation, material handling, or process operation experience.
- Ability to accurately measure, weigh, mix, transfer, cut, wrap, and label materials.
- Experience monitoring production equipment, gauges, dials, and operating indicators.
- Ability to complete production documentation clearly and accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, and maintain an organized work area.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine equipment checks and recognize maintenance needs.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the scheduled second shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with compound blending, milling, screening, batching, or similar production processes.
- Prior experience working with QA/QC sample preparation and production documentation.
- Familiarity with work orders, formula sheets, batch records, and customer specifications.
- Experience using hand tools, moving equipment, racks, buckets, lined containers, or similar production materials.
