A food manufacturing operation in Hanford, CA is seeking an experienced Production Manager Food Production to lead daily plant operations in a fast-paced processing environment. Key Responsibilities

- Lead daily production operations to ensure products are manufactured, packaged, and shipped on schedule and according to customer specifications.
- Execute and monitor production schedules to maximize labor, equipment, materials, and overall resource utilization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, Lean practices, productivity, process optimization, and product consistency.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, GMP, HACCP, FSMA, FSSC 22000, sanitation, housekeeping, and food safety requirements.
- Partner with maintenance, quality, logistics, HR, and plant leadership to support workflow, staffing, employee development, and operational performance.
- Monitor labor costs, production metrics, project progress, and budget goals while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and financial results.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $105,000 to $125,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead production operations in a food processing or food manufacturing environment.
- Manage production schedules, labor planning, equipment utilization, and output goals.
- Support food safety, sanitation, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance programs.
- Drive continuous improvement projects that improve productivity, reduce cost, and strengthen operational performance.

- 6 to 10 years of relevant production, operations, or manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience in food and beverage production, food processing, packaging, or a closely related manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSMA, sanitation, food safety, and plant safety requirements.
- Ability to lead supervisors, production teams, and cross-functional partners in a fast-paced facility.
- Strong understanding of production metrics, labor cost controls, scheduling, quality expectations, and process improvement.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, coaching, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with FSSC 22000 or similar food safety certification standards.
- Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process optimization experience.
- Prior experience coordinating with maintenance, quality, logistics, HR, and plant leadership teams.
- Strong background improving production efficiency, team performance, and product consistency in a high-volume food manufacturing setting.
