AppleOne is seeking an experienced Production Manager within the Food Production industry to lead daily manufacturing operations in a fast paced food processing environment in Hanford, CA. Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production operations to ensure products are manufactured, packed, and shipped on schedule and according to customer specifications.
- Execute and monitor production schedules to maximize labor, equipment, materials, and overall resource utilization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, process optimization, Lean practices, productivity, and product consistency.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, GMP, HACCP, FSMA, FSSC 22000, sanitation, housekeeping, and food safety requirements.
- Partner with maintenance, quality, logistics, HR, and plant leadership to support smooth workflow, staffing needs, employee development, and operational performance.
- Monitor labor costs, production metrics, project progress, and budget goals while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and financial results.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $105,000 to $125,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead daily manufacturing and food production operations across production, packaging, logistics, and supporting departments.
- Manage production schedules, operational metrics, labor utilization, and workflow to support on-time delivery.
- Lead safety, food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Coach and develop production supervisors and plant teams while supporting employee performance and engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree required, with Food Science, Dairy Science, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of production management experience in manufacturing or food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSMA, and food safety compliance requirements.
- Experience with FSSC 22000 standards in a food production or food processing environment.
- Experience supporting Lean, continuous improvement, process improvement, or operational optimization programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership, team management, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and drive measurable performance improvements.
- Strong organizational, planning, project management, decision making, and problem solving abilities.
- Commitment to workplace safety, food quality, regulatory compliance, sanitation, and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- PCQI certification.
- HACCP certification.
- Food Science, Dairy Science, or related degree.
- Experience leading capital equipment upgrades, facility improvement projects, plant layout changes, or major repair planning.
- Experience in a high volume food processing, dairy, beverage, or regulated manufacturing environment.
