Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Lead for a direct hire opportunity in Cayey, PR. This role is ideal for a bilingual manufacturing leader with a strong Lean Management background, proven supervisory experience, and a passion for continuous improvement, safety, quality, and operational excellence.
The Production Lead will coordinate and support Production Supervisors, improve workflow efficiency, reduce waste, and help drive performance across people, processes, materials, and equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate production plans, maintenance schedules, repairs, staffing needs, and daily operational priorities to support production goals.
- Supervise and support Production Supervisors while promoting accountability, teamwork, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Map workflows, identify waste, implement Lean strategies, and drive process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
- Monitor production data, prepare reports, track KPIs, and develop action plans to address performance gaps.
- Facilitate training, certification, and employee development programs in partnership with local management and corporate standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, FDA requirements, environmental policies, 6S principles, and applicable internal procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead production planning, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate Production Supervisors, Operators, Material Handlers, Managers, and cross-functional partners to support operational execution.
- Monitor KPIs, production data, quality standards, safety performance, and compliance requirements.
- Serve as deputy for the Production and CI Manager in daily operations, reporting, and project leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Science, or 6 to 8 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
- Lean Black Belt Certification required.
- Bilingual Spanish and English fluency required, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Management, continuous improvement, waste elimination, process mapping, and operational excellence practices.
- Ability to apply statistical concepts, ratios, percentages, and basic algebra or geometry to production and process improvement activities.
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Excel including pivot tables and charts, and internet research.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with Production Supervisors, Operators, Material Handlers, Managers, suppliers, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, support change management, and drive results in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading cross-functional projects in a manufacturing or production operations environment.
- Experience supporting change management initiatives and building a culture of continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience promoting and sustaining 6S workplace organization principles.
