Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Production Associate for a direct hire opportunity in West Columbia, SC. This 1st shift role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing professional with experience as a machine operator, production helper, or line support associate.
The Production Associate will support coating operations by preparing materials, assisting operators, performing quality checks, and helping keep production running safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and product specifications to support consistent production quality.
- Load raw materials and unload finished products according to the bill of materials.
- Prepare, stage, mix, and organize consumable materials and water-based adhesives for coating operations.
- Assist the Coating Line Operator with production flow, machine support, and operator-led preventive maintenance.
- Perform in-line quality checks using designated measuring devices and report issues that may affect product quality.
- Provide general production support to help the team meet daily output, quality, and safety goals.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Rate: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Schedule: 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Location: West Columbia, SC 29172.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support coating line production by preparing materials, loading and unloading products, and assisting machine operations.
- Mix and stage water-based adhesives used in the coating process.
- Perform in-line quality checks and communicate equipment or measuring device concerns.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a machine operator, production associate, or helper.
- Basic reading comprehension and math skills.
- Ability to follow SOPs, work instructions, product specifications, and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and perform physical production tasks throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, teamwork, and willingness to support production goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the pressure-sensitive adhesive, PSA, tape, coating, converting, or related manufacturing industry.
- Previous experience supporting coating lines, adhesive mixing, material staging, or in-line quality checks.
- Familiarity with measuring devices used in production quality inspections.
