We're hiring for a client in the insurance industry, specializing in P&C insurance & other financial services. Play a pivotal role shaping clear, defensible policy language that protects clients and improves underwriting certainty. What your responsibilities are:
- Establish and maintain policy wording guidelines; advise underwriters on best practices.
- Develop training and guidance materials to strengthen underwriters’ wording skills.
- Provide technical guidance on policy language and coverage certainty.
- Review competitor forms and recommend acceptability or necessary endorsements.
- Draft manuscript endorsements and bespoke language for client-specific needs.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims and legal departments to develop forms and endorsements.
- Update manuscript policy checklists to align with underwriting intent.
- Contribute to bulletins and communications on form usage.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years policy-language drafting/analysis experience (Property preferred), OR 2 years drafting + 3 years Property underwriting.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Property markets and policy forms; admitted and surplus lines experience a plus.
- Excellent written/verbal skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, work independently & cross-functionally.
- Client-focused, proactive problem-solver with high attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Teams, PowerPoint (Excel a plus).
** Bachelor’s degree required. **
- Bonus: experience building/managing forms libraries.
