Job Summary

We are seeking a Product Manager - Materials for a direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a technical product leader who enjoys transforming materials innovation into successful, real-world products.

The Product Manager - Materials will lead the strategy, development, and commercialization of a dental resin product portfolio. This position works at the intersection of materials science, product management, manufacturing, and customer-focused innovation, offering the opportunity to influence product direction from early concept through market launch.

You will work closely with R&D, engineering, materials science, manufacturing, regulatory, sales, and marketing teams in an environment focused on innovation, teamwork, product quality, and measurable customer impact.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and manage the product roadmap for dental resin and related materials products from concept through commercialization.
- Partner with engineering, materials science, R&D, manufacturing, regulatory, sales, and marketing teams to define product requirements and launch plans.
- Translate technical materials challenges, customer feedback, and market needs into clear product strategies and actionable priorities.
- Lead cross-functional product development initiatives, ensuring timelines, milestones, and business objectives are achieved.
- Support product positioning, go-to-market planning, commercialization strategy, and ongoing portfolio performance.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive products, customer needs, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for product growth and innovation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead the product roadmap, strategy, and commercialization process for materials-based physical products.
- Manage cross-functional product development projects from early concept through successful market launch.
- Collaborate with technical, manufacturing, regulatory, sales, and marketing teams to deliver customer-focused product solutions.
- Translate market needs, customer requirements, and technical inputs into product requirements and business priorities.

- 5+ years of product management experience, with 6 to 10 years of overall relevant professional experience preferred.
- Strong technical background in materials science, chemistry, engineering, medical devices, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience managing physical products through development, production, launch, and lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and align technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of product development processes, commercialization planning, and customer-driven innovation.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear product strategy, customer value, and business impact.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with dental materials, dental resins, or dental product development.
- Experience with 3D printing, photopolymers, resins, additive manufacturing, or related materials technologies.
- Background working in regulated industries such as medical devices, healthcare products, or advanced manufacturing.
- Experience supporting go-to-market planning, product positioning, and portfolio growth for technical products.
