Product Manager – Core Categories

Location: Irving, TX

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000


The Product Manager – Core Categories is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving the strategy, performance, and growth of our most important product categories. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Management, this position partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Sourcing, Engineering, Finance, and Executive Leadership to deliver profitable growth and bring innovative products to market. This role is ideal for a commercially minded product leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces change, and confidently makes decisions amid ambiguity.


What You'll Bring

• Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to translate consumer, customer, operational, and financial insights into business decisions

• Experience navigating change and competing priorities in retail, consumer products, or similar industries

• Strong financial acumen with experience managing category performance and profitability

• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives through influence and collaboration

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

• Ownership mentality with a focus on execution and continuous improvement


Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies that drive growth, profitability, and market competitiveness

• Own product roadmaps, balancing innovation, lifecycle management, customer needs, and financial performance

• Lead new product development from concept through launch

• Monitor category performance, identify opportunities, and implement corrective actions as needed

• Leverage market trends, consumer insights, and data analysis to guide strategic decisions

• Partner with Sales and Marketing on customer strategies and go-to-market initiatives

• Collaborate with Operations, Planning, and Sourcing to improve forecasting, inventory, and supply chain performance

• Provide category expertise and strategic recommendations to leadership


Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in product management, category management, portfolio management, or similar roles

• Experience in retail, consumer products, or customer-driven industries

• Strong business, financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Proven success leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority

• Experience with global sourcing, supply chain environments, or formal product development processes preferred
