Production Supervisor - Aerospace/Defense Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift manufacturing operations (2:00 pm – 10:00 pm). This role ensures products are produced safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The supervisor will oversee production personnel, drive operational efficiency, and promote continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with company, customer, and industry requirements.
Daily production leadership: Supervise activities to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals.
Team development: Lead, coach, and develop employees, fostering accountability and teamwork.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to SOPs, IPC/WHMA-A-620, AS9100, and customer specifications.
Performance monitoring: Track productivity, quality, scrap, rework, and on-time delivery.
Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Quality, Engineering, and other departments to resolve issues.
Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities using Lean principles.
Workplace safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of AS9100, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and quality systems.
Experience with ERP systems and production scheduling.
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
Contract manufacturing experience is a plus.
