We are partnering with a leading organization in a highly regulated industry to identify a Procurement Specialist who can take ownership of supplier performance, purchasing operations, and vendor compliance. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, quality-driven environments and understands how to manage suppliers strategically—not just transactionally.

Position Overview

The Procurement Specialist will lead purchasing activities, supplier performance management, audits, and cross-functional coordination to ensure uninterrupted supply and operational efficiency. This role requires a strong balance of analytical thinking, supplier relationship management, and leadership capability.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Manage end-to-end purchasing and procurement of goods and services
Build and strengthen supplier partnerships while holding vendors accountable to performance standards
Conduct and support supplier audits to ensure compliance and quality expectations
Develop, maintain, and analyze supplier scorecards and performance metrics
Review purchase orders and acknowledgements for accuracy, pricing, and terms
Proactively manage supplier delays, backorders, and supply disruptions
Resolve receiving discrepancies and vendor-related issues
Monitor lead times and support inventory optimization strategies
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements with suppliers
Partner cross-functionally to resolve escalations and drive continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with QMS and regulated industry standards
What We’re Looking For
5–7 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related functions
Background in pharmaceutical or medical device industry strongly preferred
Proven experience conducting supplier audits
Hands-on experience creating and managing supplier scorecards / vendor metrics
Strong leadership or management capability (formal or informal)
Experience negotiating supplier pricing, contracts, and terms
Ability to manage escalations and supplier performance issues effectively
ERP experience required (P21 highly preferred)
