A well-established law firm in Tampa is seeking a detail-oriented Probate Paralegal to join its legal team. This position plays a key role in supporting attorneys with estate administration and probate matters, ensuring cases move efficiently from initiation through resolution.

The ideal candidate will have experience in probate or estate planning, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who enjoys working in a collaborative legal environment and contributing to complex estate matters.

Key Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with the administration of estates, including preparation and filing of probate documents such as petitions, inventories, and accountings
Conduct legal research using platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
Maintain and organize case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw
Prepare and review legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procedural requirements
Draft correspondence, reports, and case summaries related to probate and estate matters
Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, courts, financial institutions, and government agencies to gather information and facilitate estate administration
Conduct client and stakeholder interviews to obtain relevant information for legal proceedings
Proofread and transcribe legal documents as needed
Manage multiple case deadlines while maintaining strict confidentiality and organization

Qualifications
Paralegal experience required, preferably with a focus in probate or estate planning
Strong understanding of estate planning principles and probate procedures
Experience with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
Familiarity with PCLaw, iManage, or similar legal case/document management systems preferred
Excellent writing, proofreading, and document review skills
Strong organizational and project management abilities with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Professional communication skills and strong client service orientation
Additional legal exposure is a plus but not required, including areas such as family law, securities law, litigation, landlord-tenant law, personal injury, workers’ compensation, environmental law, or immigration law.
