Position Summary
The Printer Support Technician is responsible for the daily support of site-specific network and workstation printers while providing excellent customer service. This role responds to requests for technical support and training, documents service activities, and ensures all service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Additional responsibilities may include printer hardware procurement and the management of on-site parts and consumables inventory.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide daily support for network and workstation printers across the customer site
• Respond to customer technical support requests quickly, accurately, and professionally
• Troubleshoot printer issues locally and remotely; escalate complex problems to technicians as needed
• Keep customers informed of issue status and resolution progress
• Deliver end-user training and guidance, including remote access support
• Document complete troubleshooting steps, service calls, and support requests
• Ensure service delivery aligns with customer SLAs and company standards
• Provide regular account and fleet performance updates to the Printer Fleet Manager or Integrated Account Manager
• Manage on-site printer hardware, parts, and consumables inventory
• Coordinate printer procurement based on customer requirements
• Manage printer hot-swap inventory to minimize downtime
• Collect, document, and report printer meter reads
• Maintain and update printer fleet tools, databases, and documentation

Required Qualifications
• Experience supporting networked and workstation printers in an enterprise or managed services environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills for printer hardware, drivers, and connectivity issues
• Customer service–focused mindset with strong communication skills
• Ability to document technical issues clearly and accurately
• Experience working with ticketing systems and service documentation
• Ability to manage inventory and track hardware assets

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a Managed Print Services (MPS) environment
• Familiarity with printer fleet management tools
• Basic IT support experience (workstations, networking fundamentals)
• Prior experience supporting SLAs in a client-facing role
