We are seeking an experienced Potting Assembler for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Lake Elsinore, CA within the aerospace and defense manufacturing industry. This hands-on production role is ideal for a detail-oriented assembler with experience mixing compounds, applying resins, potting electrical assemblies, and working with small precision components.
The Potting Assembler will work primarily in a controlled potting lab environment, following travelers, blueprints, engineering drawings, and detailed work instructions to produce high-quality assemblies. Key Responsibilities
- Mix, apply, or inject potting compounds, resins, and adhesives into or onto parts, connectors, components, and assemblies using manual methods or pneumatic syringes.
- Perform precision assembly work according to blueprints, travelers, routers, work instructions, measurements, weights, tolerances, and customer requirements.
- Operate small hand tools, power tools, microscopes, and production equipment to complete detailed electro-mechanical assembly tasks.
- Inspect work in process for quality, accuracy, cleanliness, and compliance with production and safety standards.
- Participate in training, certification, and cross-training programs, including general assembly and potential soldering standards.
- Communicate effectively with manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, and production leadership to support workflow and product quality.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform potting and encapsulation of assemblies using reactive compounds, resins, and adhesives.
- Assemble electro-mechanical components according to engineering drawings, travelers, and detailed production instructions.
- Use microscopes, hand tools, pneumatic syringes, and other production tools to complete precision assembly work.
- Follow controlled manufacturing processes to meet aerospace quality, safety, and documentation requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with reactive adhesives, mixing compounds, potting, or electrical assemblies preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience assembling electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English instructions clearly.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, routers, travelers, and detailed work instructions.
- Experience using 10x microscopes while working with small parts and detailed processes.
- ESD training required or ability to complete required ESD training.
- Strong attention to detail, finger dexterity, manual dexterity, near vision, and arm-hand steadiness.
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with team members and leadership.
- Dependable, cooperative, motivated, and open to feedback in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of adhesive application, compound handling, and pot life.
- Prior solder training or hands-on soldering experience.
- In-process inspection experience.
- Prior certification in aerospace wire harness and cable standards, such as IPC 620.
