Additional Skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead daily manufacturing and assembly operations across axle, metal driveshaft, carbon fiber driveshaft, shipping, and related operational areas.
• Coordinate production priorities with scheduling, engineering, quality, inventory, and sales teams to support on-time delivery and backlog reduction.
• Monitor and improve throughput, WIP levels, labor utilization, and production flow.
• Supervise managers, supervisors, and production employees, including coaching, accountability, discipline, performance evaluations, and staffing recommendations.
• Drive operational KPI reporting: throughput, backlog, WIP pressure, RTFT%, shipment velocity, and production output trends.
• Support implementation and adherence to standard operating procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and 5S initiatives.
• Coordinate training to improve operational flexibility and workforce coverage.
• Support ERP system utilization & reporting within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Lead operational communication processes, including production meetings, manager huddles, and escalation of operational risks or delays.
• Assist with equipment planning, workflow improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies, OSHA requirements, and manufacturing safety expectations.
• Participate in strategic operational planning and operational improvement initiatives.
• Support new product launches, equipment installations, and process improvement projects.
• Assist the leadership team with capacity planning and labor balancing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by executive leadership.

REQUIREMENTS:
• 5 years of recent/current production floor leadership experience within high-mix, made-to-order manufacturing company/environment/setting.
• Proven team management experience, managing up to 50 employees.
• Prior experience with production scheduling and shipping.
• ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo, Acumatica, or similar) proficiency required.
• Ability to read, interpret, evaluate operational and financial reporting and metrics.
• Prove success improving throughput without increasing inventory or expense.
• Ability to effectively communicate operational/safety/production updates.
• Occasional travel for training, vendor visits, or operational support may be required.
