Job Description: Planner Scheduler
Location: Temecula
Position Type: Full-Time (Hourly)
Position Summary

We are seeking a Planner Scheduler for our Manufacturing client. We are seeking a detail-oriented Planner Scheduler to serve as the "central nervous system" of our machine shop. This role is responsible for building and maintaining a master production schedule that balances machine capacity, labor constraints, and customer delivery dates within a high-precision CNC environment. The ideal candidate will have deep roots in machine shop operations and a firm understanding of aerospace quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain the master production schedule for CNC mills, lathes, and secondary operations.
• Workflow Management: Sequence work orders across multiple operational stages (OP1, OP2, OP3) to ensure efficient flow through the shop.
• ERP Administration: Utilize ProShop ERP to manage work orders, track job progress in real-time, and maintain data integrity.
• Capacity Planning: Monitor finite machine capacity and labor availability to identify bottlenecks and adjust schedules accordingly.
• AS9100 Compliance: Integrate quality checkpoints, such as First Article Inspections (FAI), into the schedule and ensure all processes meet AS9100 aerospace standards.
• Material Coordination: Verify raw material and tooling availability before releasing jobs to the floor to prevent line stoppages.
• Customer Facing Communication: Will serve as the main POC between customers regarding scheduling and delivery schedules.
• Cross-Functional Liaison: Coordinate daily with Machining, Quality, Procurement, and Sales to communicate priority changes and recovery plans.
Required Qualifications
• Machine Shop Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in a CNC machining environment is mandatory.
• AS9100 Knowledge: Proven experience working within an AS9100 or ISO 9001 certified quality management system.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and process routings.
• Problem-Solving: Strong ability to make real-time trade-off decisions regarding "hot jobs," machine downtime, and material shortages.
Preferred Skills
• ProShop ERP Proficiency: Prior experience using ProShop ERP for digital job travelers and real-time shop floor tracking is highly preferred.
• Advanced Planning: Experience with finite scheduling techniques rather than "infinite" ERP planning.
• Aerospace Background: Specific experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
