We are currently partnering with an established clinical research client in the Miami area looking to add a dedicated Pharmacist to their team. This is a specialized role designed for a clinician who excels in high-precision environments and is passionate about the future of medicine through clinical investigational drug trials.

Position Overview
As a Clinical Research Pharmacist, you will work at the intersection of patient care and scientific innovation. You will collaborate closely with Principal Investigators, the Director of Operations, and internal research staff to manage the lifecycle of investigational medications. Your primary focus will be ensuring strict protocol compliance, meticulous inventory management, and the safe preparation of study materials.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Preparation: Perform complex dilution ratios, set up IV bags, and prepare subcutaneous injections with high accuracy.
Specialized Handling: Manage field mixing for vaccine studies and oversee the precise counting and dispensing of oral medications.
Protocol Implementation: Review investigational drug trial protocols and implement required pharmacy procedures to ensure 100% compliance.
Inventory Management: Lead the ordering, replacement, and return of all study-specific materials and maintain up-to-date investigational drug lists.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Principal Investigators and coordinators to define compounding and dispensing processes for each unique trial.
Quality & Compliance: Monitor daily pharmacy activities to ensure adherence to dispensing procedures, inventory documentation, and billing requirements; report any ethical concerns or protocol deviations.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive pharmacy binders for each trial, including study summaries, checklists, and required regulatory documentation.

Education, Training, and Collaboration
Staff Mentorship: Train and orient pharmacy staff and residents on investigational drug trial procedures and specific pharmacy roles.

Consultation: Serve as the subject matter expert on drug information for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Professional Growth: Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and participate in committees, educational rounds, and journal clubs to stay current with best practices.

Required Qualifications
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited program.

Licensure: Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacy License.

Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in IV compounding, dilution calculations, and subcutaneous medication preparation.

Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong ethical judgment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, protocol-driven environment.
