Job Title: Pest Control Technician (Trainee to Licensed Applicator)
Location: Santa Barbara 8:00am-5:00pm ONSITE
Employment Type: Full-Time
Starting Pay: $24/hour (increases up to $27/hour after four months upon obtaining a license and demonstrating proficiency in the role)
Job summary : Seeking a Pest Control Technician Trainee, who will undergo training to become a Licensed Pest Control Applicator. They provide a comprehensive paid training program to help you obtain your Applicator License within four months.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy independent fieldwork, problem-solving, and making a direct impact on customers' homes and businesses.

Important note: For specialized pest issues, like rat control, the team has specialized departments that provide assistance.


The applicator role involves basic tasks, such as:
Maintaining properties that don’t have pest issues.

YOUR WILL NOT BE HANDLING MICE OR BED BUGS ( PLEASE READ THIS SENTENCE AGAIN )

Key duties include:
Visiting properties to check and service bait boxes—removing and replacing food inside.
Using a brush to knock down spider webs.
Carrying a 2-gallon sprayer to treat for ants.
Setting traps for golfers (training is provided for this).
Traveling to 10-12 properties a day, spending around 40 minutes per location.


Key Responsibilities
Participate in a structured training program to learn pest identification, application techniques, and regulatory compliance.
Study for and pass the Branch 2 Pest Control Applicator License exam within four months of hire.
Assist licensed applicators with inspections and treatments while gaining hands-on experience.
Work closely with trainers to develop expertise in pest biology, treatment plans, and customer service.
Upon obtaining a license, transition to working independently to:
Perform pest control services, including pesticide application, trap placement, and preventive treatments.
Maintain accurate records of services performed while ensuring compliance with state and federal safety regulations.
Build strong customer relationships by providing education, addressing concerns, and delivering high-quality service.
Maintain company-provided tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and professional condition.

Qualifications
No prior experience required—we provide complete training.
Commitment to obtaining the Branch 2 Pest Control Applicator License within four months of hire.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting up to 25 lbs, crawling, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
A desire to learn, grow, and build a stable career in the pest control industry.
