A rapidly growing plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join its legal team on a direct hire basis. As a Personal Injury Paralegal, you will support attorneys in managing a diverse caseload of personal injury matters while helping clients navigate an important and often challenging time in their lives. This role is ideal for a paralegal who is organized, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality legal support in a client-focused practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support a caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters from intake through resolution.
- Draft, organize, and review legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and case materials.
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, deadlines, settlement documentation, and litigation support.
- Maintain accurate case files, calendars, records, and documentation in accordance with firm procedures.
- Provide responsive, professional client service while helping move cases forward efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity or Temp to Hire opportunity.
- Compensation: $24.09 to $28.89 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage a personal injury caseload and support attorneys through all phases of case development.
- Prepare legal documents, discovery materials, correspondence, and case file documentation.
- Coordinate communications with clients, providers, insurers, courts, and legal professionals.
- Track deadlines, organize records, and assist with settlement and litigation preparation.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in personal injury law.
- Strong understanding of plaintiff personal injury case processes, documentation, and client communication.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and file management.
- Professional, client-focused approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Ability to collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative team members.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience supporting plaintiff-side personal injury cases.
- Experience with medical records, demand packages, insurance communications, discovery, and litigation support.
- Familiarity with legal case management software.
- Demonstrated commitment to client advocacy, teamwork, and long-term growth in a personal injury law practice.
