We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist to join our accounting and HR team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time for employees while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. This role includes reviewing and verifying employee timecards, wage calculations, deductions, and benefits with a high level of accuracy. The ideal candidate will maintain payroll records and ensure all employee data is up to date within the payroll system. Responsibilities include processing payroll adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements as needed. The Payroll Specialist will also manage payroll tax filings and ensure timely payment of payroll taxes. This role will respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a professional and timely manner. The candidate will coordinate with HR to ensure proper documentation for new hires, terminations, and pay changes. Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information is essential. The Payroll Specialist may assist with year-end payroll activities including W-2 preparation and reporting. The role also supports internal and external payroll audits by providing accurate documentation. Experience with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and strong Microsoft Excel skills is preferred. The ability to manage deadlines and maintain strong attention to detail is critical for success in this role. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required when working with employees and leadership. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to efficient payroll operations within a collaborative team environment.

$26 – $36 per hour - depending on experience and certifications
