The Payroll Specialist provides essential support to a government entity during an ERP system implementation, managing payroll and related accounting functions. This temporary role is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for approximately 1,200 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursement. During off weeks, the Payroll Specialist assists with vendor setup, invoice review, and other accounts payable tasks to maintain smooth financial operations. Serving as a backfill while existing staff focus on the ERP implementation, this role supports continuity and reliability in payroll and accounting processes, currently managed through PDS Vista. Previous experience in payroll and related accounting functions is required.
