Payroll Specialist – Full-Time

About the Role
We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join a leading logistics company. Key Responsibilities
Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll for all employees in compliance with federal and Washington state regulations.
Maintain accurate payroll records, including wage, benefit, and tax data.
Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy.
Manage employee timekeeping and attendance data.
Assist with payroll audits, tax filings, and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s, etc.).
Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to support payroll operations.
Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator, or in a related payroll role.
Strong knowledge of payroll practices, wage laws, and compliance requirements in Washington State.
Proficiency with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, Ceridian, Workday, or QuickBooks Payroll.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other standard office software.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within the logistics, supply chain, or transportation industry.
Familiarity with HRIS systems.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
