Position Summary:
As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for supporting the payroll process for all employees, maintaining accurate payroll records, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies. This position plays a key role in delivering accurate and timely compensation while upholding employee confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly or weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees

Collect and verify time sheets, attendance records, and other related documents

Enter and update employee payroll information in the payroll system (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks)

Review payroll reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies

Calculate and process garnishments, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll adjustments

Assist with tax filings, year-end reporting, and W-2 issuance

Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions

Maintain payroll files and confidentiality of employee data

Ensure compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred

1–3 years of experience in payroll processing or accounting

Familiarity with payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, Kronos)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Basic understanding of federal and state payroll regulations

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications

Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality
