Payroll Specialist (Bilingual – English/Spanish)
Delano, CA
Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00/4:30 PM (8 hours/day)
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00/hour (DOE)
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Payroll Specialist to join our team in Delano. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid foundation in payroll processing, and a desire to grow within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accurate and timely multistate payroll on a weekly/biweekly basis
Respond to payroll inquiries via phone and email in both English and Spanish
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Communicate professionally with staff and executives via email
Utilize Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF) for payroll data sorting and analysis
Support other HR/payroll projects as needed
Qualifications:
Must have at least 2 years of payroll experience
Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate level)
Prior experience with ADP or Paylocity preferred – we will train the right candidate
Strong communication verbal and written communication skills
