Payroll Administrator – Intermediate or Senior (Contingent Assignment)
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: Long-term assignment through 12/31/2026
Pay Rate: $36.00 – $45.00 per hour
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to support payroll operations within a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. This role is responsible for the accurate processing, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance of payroll activities in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Process and manage end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Maintain payroll records and review payroll reports for accuracy and adjustments
Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll tax regulations, filings, and reporting
Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and tracking of employee changes
Support system upgrades, testing, enhancements, and issue resolution
Partner with HR, Finance, and IT on payroll system processes and improvements
Document procedures, maintain desk manuals, and update process documentation
Respond to complex payroll inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner
Support benefit-related payroll functions including deductions and reconciliations
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of payroll or related accounting experience
Advanced experience with Oracle Fusion Payroll
Strong experience with ADP (including integration and reconciliation)
Multi-state payroll processing and tax compliance experience
Strong knowledge of payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Understanding of federal and state payroll regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification
Experience with benefits administration (401k, 457b, 401a plans)
Exposure to HRIS/payroll system upgrades or implementations
Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles
